The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation & Institute (from whence the President video came) is not happy, and stated:

"The ad misrepresents the Presidential Radio Address, and the Government of Ontario did not seek nor receive permission to use and edit the remarks," and "is reviewing its legal options."

The other day I told my sister that, as bad as CBC can be, as much as it fails to fulfill its mandate, thanks to political interference & severe under-funding, Canada needs the . In part, because once our National Broadcaster is broken up, sold off and trashed, there will never be anything to replace it.

Public services like the CBC, NFB, Bell Canada and Canada Post, like the Canadian Pacific Railway before them, were designed not only to serve Canadians, but to help unify us.

Without them, Canada may very well become the 51st state.

Stumbling across this recent CBC documentary gave me a bit of hope.

The people who convinced BBC to take down "Gaza: How to Survive a War zone" weren't worried about the deputy Minister of Agriculture.

They didn't want us to see the children.

They were afraid we would see they are children like our own. They worried we could see them as human beings.

Seeing the world in which they live through their eyes humanizes them.

That is what they don't want us to see.

Canadians may be polite, but that doesn't mean Canada is a pushover. Canadians and Americans are friends, but Canadians don't want to be Americans.

The last time the USA tried to conquer Canada didn't end well. For them.

Even in the worst case scenario for us, we still win.
