In July 1924, former Zionist Jacob Israël de Haan, planned to accompany an anti-Zionist Haredi delegation to London to argue against British support of Zionism.
But when de Haan emerged from a synogogue in Jerusalem, he was assassinated by the Zionist paramilitary organization Haganah (later the #IDF), on the orders of the future 2nd President of Israel, Yitzhak Ben-Zvi.
