A lot of communities are doing something of this nature: promoting local downtown foot traffic by encouraging local arts, crafts, entertainment and commerce to spill out onto the sidewalks (or streets in the case of Open Streets events).
This is from 2013; I have no idea whether these ladies were a professional band or if they were a group of friends enjoying an opportunity to sing together. What I do remember is that they were talented…their music drew me over to listen.
Though I’ve not been able to get there since, I’m pleased to know Sarnia’s First Fridays continue to thrive and have spun off the successful Artwalk Festival.
The reason I was there was to support my talented sister Liana Russwurm’s painting “Americana” in a juried art show (it won!)
