“Five fat turkeys are we,
We slept all night in a tree.
When the cook came around we couldn’t be found,
So that’s why we’re here you see.”
I always liked this little song my son learned in elementary school. I thought it was great the turkeys got away.
I always loved this great turkey platter that was on the table every Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner growing up. I still love it as much for the memories as for the glorious kitschiness of this heirloom.
These days more and more people are moving away from meat based diets, which has to be good for turkeys.
(And climate change.)
