Our community is immeasurably poorer with the loss of Trudy and Michael within days of each other.  Memorial celebrations for both are scheduled for today.

Carillion purveyed billions from public sector contracts into private profits, dividends & executive bonuses. Now its failure is leaving that mess for the public sector to clean up, along with the wages and pensions of its 43,000 workers, along with 6,000 in Canada.

I don’t get this one. Company wins bid, builds bridge for $106M. Bridge fails due to design, fix to cost $10M—and we’re not sure who should pay?
