SPRING
On this spring morning, the sun has already risen high in
The sky, but I’m still sleeping soundly and have no
awareness of it at all. The happy sound of birds
Singing can be heard everywhere. I think of
last night’s rain and wonder how many spring
blossoms have fallen.

MUST SEE: Black Donnellys
Some time back there was an American TV show called “The Black Donnellys” which got my heart all a flutter. All it takes is reading Black Donnellys to start Earl & Martha Heywood’s unforgettable musical telling of “Tales of the Donnelly Feud” to start running through my head. I’ve been waiting for a proper cinematic telling since hearing the Heywood’s record in my youth. Unfortunately that turned out to be some totally unrelated American crime show. I can’t even tell you if it was any good or not, because I was too annoyed at being misled by their appropriation of the name.
But it’s a new day! Having been privileged to attend the Kitchener theatrical screening of this new film version of the story of the famous Lucan family massacre, I can tell you this brand new docudrama isn’t just historically honest, its very good too.
So I’m pleased to share info about their impending DVD release. Pre-order a DVD or blueray here:
