WINTER

Not even a single bird flies above
the high mountain peaks stretching off
into the distrance.  Not a trace of human
presence can be detected on the paths.
Only one old fisherman wearing a coir
coat and a leaf hat sits in his little
boat.  He is fishing all alone on the cold river.

Fortunately for me (and all free software users), NFB makes its video available on YouTube as well. This is one of my all time favourite Canadian winter films. It was commissioned by Canada Post, and dates back to the time Canada Post was invested in Canada and had a sense of humour. Although it is a cartoon, it does contain mature subject matter Viewer discretion is advised.
