#NetNeutrality

This is unrelated to the subject of this blog, but we all love Tumblr and want sites like these to be maintained at low costs for the people, and get the unbiased content we want.
So, for all my Americans: PLEASE
- Text RESIST to 50409 and oppose taking away net neutrality protections (it allows you to communicate with your House Reps, Senators, Governor, and the President). Beyond the emails/faxes, it also can send a letter for you.
* There are numerous websites out there if you search for net neutrality templates that will help you with letter writing, and those websites can send letters for you as well.
- Use social media! In any way possible! Get your message out there, and contact your representatives!
- Call your representatives!
- Also, remember to be respectful and to the point. We get nowhere convincing them with harmful rhetoric.

It's simple, fast, and very necessary. Take a moment of your time and save net neutrality ♥

startrekgifs:

We’re taking a break today to speak out on a critical issue.

If you’re in the U.S. it’s critical that you make at least three (3) phone calls today. One to each of your Senators, and one to your Represenative in the House.

Tell them you demand they take immediate action to permanently protect Net Neutrality.

Text Resist Bot at 50409 for help contacting your representatives.

What you need to know about the FCC’s net neutrality repeal

What you need to know about the FCC's net neutrality repeal:

What is net neutrality?

Net neutrality is the principle that all traffic on the internet should be treated equally, regardless of whether you’re checking Facebook, posting pictures to Instagram or streaming movies from Netflix or Amazon. It also means that companies like AT&T, which is trying to buy Time Warner, or Comcast, which owns NBC Universal, can’t favor their own content over a competitor’s content.

Title II does not go NEAR far enough.  The heart of the problem is that ISP’s should NOT be allowed to own Content Businesses.

EXACTLY like movie companies were required to divest themselves of the chains of movie theatres they owned.
